Shelton Claims Biggest Career Title―2025 National Bank Open

Toronto, Canada — Combining a powerful game with great mental strength under pressure, Ben Shelton (USA) captured the biggest title of his career at the ATP Masters 1000 in Toronto.

The 22-year-old became the youngest American champion at this level in over 20 years, and his win moved him up to a career-high world No. 6.  “It’s a surreal feeling,” Shelton said after coming from a set down to defeat Karen Khachanov 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-6(3) in an absorbing final that brought him his third ATP singles title, following previous successes in Tokyo in 2023 and Houston in 2024. “I played my best under pressure, I persevered, and I was resilient — all the qualities I like to see in myself.”

Another Team Yonex player advanced to the final on the hard courts of Canada, with Naomi Osaka (JPN) reaching the final of the WTA tournament in Montreal.

Following these strong performances, we look forward to seeing how Team Yonex continues to grow and excel in New York later this month.
