YONEX UK One-Year Limited Warranty (Racquets)
1. Warranty Coverage
YONEX (UK) Limited (“YONEX”, “we”, “us”) provides this One-Year Limited Warranty to the original purchaser of a Yonex tennis or badminton racquet purchased in the United Kingdom from an authorised Yonex retailer.
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, as evidenced by valid proof of purchase.
If a defect is confirmed, YONEX will, at its discretion:
- Replace the racquet, or
- Provide a comparable or upgraded model if the original is unavailable
2. Your Statutory Rights (IMPORTANT – UK LAW)
This warranty is provided in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory rights, including your right to request a repair, replacement, or refund if a product is faulty.
2. Warranty Claim Requirements
To qualify for this warranty, you must:
- Be the original purchaser
- Provide valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
- Have purchased the product from an authorised YONEX UK retailer
3. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Transport, shipping, or storage conditions• Misuse, abuse, or improper handling
- Failure to follow product instructions or maintenance guidance
- Modifications or alterations
- Unauthorised repairs or servicing
- Normal wear and tear
- Accidents or external causes
- Damage caused by third parties
- String breakage
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance
- Improper restringing or incorrect stringing patterns
- Exposure to excessive heat
4. Products Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to:
- Products purchased from unauthorised sellers
- Counterfeit products (see Counterfeit Warning page)
- Private sales (e.g., marketplaces, auction sites)
- Promotional, demonstration, or sample products
- Products intended for sale outside the UK
5. Warranty Claim Process
Step 1: Contact
- If purchased from an authorised retailer → contact the retailer first
- If purchased via YONEX UK → contact us via www.yonex.co.uk
Step 2: Submit Details
- You will need to provide:
- Proof of purchase• Description of the issue
- Photos or videos showing the defect
Step 3: Inspection
- You may be required to return the racquet for inspection
- Please leave strings intact unless advised otherwise
Step 4: Resolution
Claims are typically reviewed within 2–3 weeks
- If approved → replacement will be arranged
- If rejected → you will receive an explanation
Return shipping may be at your expense unless the product is confirmed defective.
7. Limitation of Warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this warranty is limited to the remedies described above.
YONEX shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the
use of the product.
