YONEX Co., Ltd. is set to release the new COUNTER‑COURT TRAINER, a next-generation multi-training shoe designed to support a wide range of movements required in racquet sports, gym training, and running. The new model will be available from late March 2026.

Developed to help athletes naturally move into the optimal ‘power position,’ a ready‑to‑move stance essential for quick and powerful footwork in racquet sports, the COUNTER‑COURT TRAINER delivers stability, agility, and responsiveness across various training scenarios, supporting efficient movement and powerful footwork.

Product Concept

In racquet sports, where agility and stability are essential, maintaining proper body positioning is key to maximizing performance. The COUNTER‑COURT TRAINER is designed to guide the wearer into the ideal ‘power position’ while adapting smoothly to diverse movements, making it a versatile training shoe for both on‑ and off‑court use.

Position Guide Pod for Enhanced Movement Control

The shoe features a newly developed Position Guide Pod with a flat structure that promotes balanced weight distribution across the forefoot and toes. This design helps athletes become more aware of their posture during training, running, or everyday movement, encouraging efficient footwork and improved stability across a wide range of activities.

Equipped with Yonex’s proprietary POWER CUSHION® PLUS, the midsole delivers exceptional shock absorption and rebound. When dropped from a height of 12 meters, an egg rebounds over 6 meters without breaking*, demonstrating superior impact protection and energy return.

Compared to conventional EVA materials, POWER CUSHION® PLUS offers 28% greater shock absorption and 62% higher repulsion.

l  Stability and Support for Gym Training

A raised rubber Support Wall is integrated into the midsole to suppress excessive deformation during movement. This structure enhances stability and support, making the shoe suitable for strength training and dynamic exercises.

The upper features a linked reinforcement structure that improves fit and enhances the sense of unity between foot and shoe.

l  Low-Drop Design for Natural Movement

The shoe incorporates a specially designed insole with increased thickness in the forefoot, resulting in a reduced heel‑to‑toe drop. This low‑drop design encourages a natural stepping motion and supports powerful push‑offs across a variety of training movements.

By wearing the COUNTER‑COURT TRAINER in daily training, athletes can naturally develop the ability to move into the power position, leading to improved performance across sports and training disciplines.
